After signing on, you’ll receive a simple questionnaire and follow-up interview. We’ll do a compact, conversational style of brand strategy together to better understand your business, vision, goals, and audience.

WEEK 1

Competitive research

We will conduct an audit to understand commonalities amongst the competition and identify opportunities. Successful brands don't add to the noise, they break free of it.

WEEK 2

Ideating the identity

I’ll generate many ideas quickly (typically 50-100 sketches), refine the strongest ones, and give you three unique brand directions to choose from.

Presenting concepts

Each option includes logo, color palette, and typography presented in real-world mockups so you can envision the possibilities.

WEEK 4

Finalizing the chosen one

It's normal to love the logo from Option 1, the palette from Option 2, and the tagline from Option 3. I’ll guide you on what can come together and what shouldn’t. This refinement phase is a collaborative conversation to take us from 80% to 100%.

WEEK 4-5

Extending the core identity

Once the core identity (logo, colors, and fonts) is finalized, I build stylescapes, which includes expanded visual direction, secondary assets, treatments, and messaging. This process gives you a more robust system beyond the core identity. Think of it as a 50,000 ft. view of your brand. An easy to share, "style guide lite" reference point.

The handoff

Usage guidance and design examples will be captured in the Style Guide. You’ll get an organized folder of all brand assets to make it easy to find what you need for print, screen use, etc.
