We focus on small to medium business (B2B and B2C) marketing and eCommerce sites...
Custom sites are a bigger investment than an off-the-shelf template. But, we regularly see the custom sites make bigger and longer-lasting impressions and generate more sales than the forgotten generic or template-based sites.
We were using Webflow before it was cool! People unfamiliar with Webflow assume it is like Wix, Weebly, or Squarespace. Webflow is not a haphazard, drag-and-drop builder. It allows sites to be built the right way! It is a powerful CMS that requires real and current web knowledge.
Webflow is a no code/low code solution making it highly efficient to build, iterate, pivot, launch, etc. And easy for you to update and maintain. Ideal for small or medium-sized businesses.
SEO and Digital Marketing are unique sciences that take time, consistency, and investment with a specialist to do well. We don't claim that expertise and not every business will see a return on those things. We can refer pros to help once your site is live. Sharpe Creative designs and builds websites with foundational SEO best practices in mind. Tagging images, meta descriptions, proper headline tagging, etc.
There are a lot of easy ways to build a site yourself. That is why much of the web blends in and feels the same. Don't conform! We design sites for clients who have outgrown DIY and refuse to blend in. Let's create a custom site that is tailored to your needs, gives you a presence, and makes an impression.
Webflow is an incredibly low-maintenance platform. Very minimal ongoing technical effort is needed. We build sites in a way that will make it easy for you to manage and maintain without web building knowledge.
For the sites we build, we are available. Often, a 2-3 years after we do a brand refresh and website, clients will grow, and new needs may arise. Webflow is very nimble and allows for a very cost-effective 2.0 revisit or evolution of your site.
Webflow is more cost-effective and efficient for building unique and fully custom sites. We can design the site and work with partners to develop on WordPress, HubSpot or any other platform if required. But, other platforms will likely end up being a more costly and higher-maintenance solution for many smaller businesses.
Reach out or snag an available meeting time. We'll simply have a conversation about your brand/website and the goals you hope to achieve.
90% of the websites we create come from some level of branding work. If you reach out specifically for a website, we will dig a little to try and understand why you need a new site and discover what do you hope the new site will do for you.
Often when clients come to Sharpe Creative for a website, most of the pain points and issues they describe are actually brand issues, not necessarily website issues. The symptoms of a lackluster brand presence manifest most heavily in a website.
Once we get clarity, we will either propose a new site or recommend some level of brand work with the site.
The majority of websites we do come after branding work. By the website design phase, we know your business well. If we are only doing a website, we will begin with meetings to better understand your business. The first stage is creating a sitemap. This is a flowchart/outline that identifies what pages the site will have, how they are organized, and from a high level, what topics or sections may exist on each page.
We aren't worried about aesthetics in this phase. We want to make sure the user experience, functionality, flow, content, etc. perform well before we apply a look. You wouldn't ice a cake before you bake it. In the same way, this wireframe (clickable blueprint) is the baking and the Content Planning of the previous step... that was the recipe.
Keeping with the cake analogy, this is when we look at our decor and icing options and make selections. These are similar to the "stylescapes" from our branding process. These tiles are specific to web interface elements. By this phase, we have baked our cake, picked our icing, and now we ice it!
The prototype phase is a full, clickable, and collaborative in-browser design. You will get a sense for how all the pages flow, how navigation works, and see how everything looks and sounds as we flesh out content. Though it is not a fully functional site yet, it will give you a very clear picture of what we are about to build. Once the prototype is approved, we build the site!
Though the prototype felt like a finished site, this is where it becomes one. In this stage, the site becomes responsive (layout adjusts to different devices), details like scroll animations, hover effects, transitions, functionality, etc. are added. This is where the backend features that will allow you to pilot your site are put in place.
As we work through development, there is an ever-updating link available. You will always know the status of your site and we will send updates for when it makes sense to review.
Your site is tailored to you. It will be built to make it easy for you to update content. We create a series of short, organized training videos, unique to your site for each website management topic. These are provided in a shared folder for your archives.
We will work with you to get the site live on your domain name and help guide you in any technical needs related to a successful launch.
1-3 page microsite. A "microsite" typically has a more in-depth home/landing page and may include a few simple utility pages like contact us, book a meeting, etc. Cost is determined by complexity of the layout and functionality.
Full marketing or eCommerce site. This website will be totally custom to your needs, unique, branded, and ownable while prioritizing user experience. It will be built so you can easily manage and update your content dynamically, without web development experience.
If you prefer, we can handle the user experience and design ONLY. We will design prototypes and work with your team or a web development partner to build and launch. If you prefer a platform that is not Webflow (Hubspot, WordPress, Shopify, etc.) or want to build an application, we will propose a more customized way to work together.
A majority of the websites we do start from a brand development relationship. Sometimes we design sites that others build. You can see many web design examples in the work. Once we launch a site and hand it over to a client, it is theirs. We do not have control everything that you might experience on these sites. But, here are a few live examples we like!
