
Applied Sciences was an industry leader, creating nanomaterials for NASA and the U.S. government. But they saw a major opportunity in consumer goods. Starting with snowboarding and skiing, and expanding into electronics, automobiles, and power tools. Their old identity felt dated and small, disconnected from the large consumer brands they wanted to partner with.
The brand refresh changed the trajectory. It gave Applied Sciences a seat at the tables they’d been eyeing. Soon after, they partnered with Prior to produce the first nano-based snowboard and skis, opening the new doors to other consumer markets.
