Hobnob Pizza began as Upper Arlington Pizza Club, sharing space with a pub. As the brand prepared to expand, the location-based name no longer fit. We led the renaming and identity development that became Hobnob Pizza, but the challenge was standing out in a crowded market.
A mother-daughter operations team with a perfected Midwestern tavern-style dough, Hobnob wanted to be both a sit-down spot and a take-home favorite. A true classic pizzeria. Offering two styles, New York and Midwest Tavern, this sense of duality inspired the name, tone, and visual identity: a mix of bold, playful modernity and vintage, Victorian charm. The result: a new class of classic that helped Hobnob successfully launch its first two locations.
