Since 1996, Old Bag of Nails has grown into a regionally recognized restaurant with 15+ locations across Ohio, Michigan, and Indiana. But its brand presence wasn’t consistent. Each piece of communication looked different, multiple “logos” were in use, and the name appeared in various forms. With no established brand standards, visual identity, or messaging, the look didn’t reflect the uniqueness, quality, scale, or longevity of the restaurants. With plans for new locations, to-go concepts, and even retail products, Old Bag of Nails needed a cohesive, elevated identity.
We developed brand language and a visual identity inspired by the family’s historical photos. Images that had taken on a kind of mascot-like charm over the years. The result was a refined, unified brand presence that honors the past while positioning Old Bag of Nails for future growth.
